I Am Not Afraid of Death at All — 99-Year-Old Charles Baako Moses Speaks on Mortality and Faith

I am not afraid of death at all, as I came to this world, I do not know how I came. So if I die over there, I wouldn’t know. There is nothing that would scare me from fearing to die.

At 99 years old, Charles Baako Kweku Nyatsui Moses says he has no fear of death and believes it is a natural part of human existence.

The spiritual leader and founding member of the Holy Church of God said death does not frighten him because nobody knows exactly how they came into the world.

“I am not afraid of death at all,” he said.

“As I came to this world, I do not know how I came. So if I die over there, I wouldn’t know. There is nothing that would scare me from fearing to die.”

Mr Moses said his faith in God has shaped his understanding of life and death.

He revealed that he believes God communicated to him many years ago that he had only three more years to live.

“I was told you have three more years to live,” he said, explaining that the message came in 1998.

More than two decades later, Mr Moses said the experience changed how he approached life, including paying more attention to his health and resting more.

He said he believes every person should have faith in God and live responsibly.

“I believe it,” he said when asked about eternal life.

However, he added that he could not personally describe heaven because he had never been there.

“I haven’t been there before, so I cannot say much about heaven. All I know is that there shall come a time when I shall pass away.”

Mr Moses encouraged young people to live with respect, honesty and humility.

“Any person you come in contact with, give the person respect and honour,” he advised.
