Ghanaian Afrobeats and Highlife singer KiDi is finally ready to end his four-year wait for a new album and he says fans should expect an entirely new level of his artistry.
The singer confirmed during his sit-down with Kafui Dey that his long-awaited project will arrive on September 24.
The 15-track album will be his first major project as an independent artiste following his 2021 album Golden Boy.
KiDi explained that the lengthy wait was one reason he wanted to give fans more music this time around.
“I feel like the fans deserve even more than 15, even for the long wait,” he said.
The project will feature a combination of established Ghanaian collaborators and newer names behind the production.
But the album is only part of what KiDi has planned.
He also confirmed a major London show around the release, signalling what appears to be the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
And KiDi believes this era will be different.
“The album, Where Do We Go From Here is coming soon,” he declared. “Everything you feel, you see, and you understand the difference.” After four years away from the album cycle, Kidi appears ready to make his return count.
